Job Summary:

Maintenance Technician B are entry level trainees to work with existing technicians to develop proper skill set in the industrial maintenance field.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Learn to perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production equipment.
• Learn the proper use of hand, power, and precision measuring tools.
• Learn to perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
• Learn to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Learn how to properly diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Learn how to perform and understand the importance of regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
• Learn to detect faulty operations and defective material; report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Learn how to use Maintenance Connection work order software.

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

• General Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, or sit for long periods, work in tight spaces, lift and maneuver 50+ pounds.
• Must use hand, power, and shop tools multiple times a day.
• Must be able to distinguish color shade differences.
• Occasionally required to climb, balance, and kneel.
• Overtime is required on a regular basis including weekends and holidays.
• Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
• Perform and other duties as assigned.
