National Business Development Manager

Location: Dalton, GA

Job Summary:

The National Business Development Manager leads the focus and strategy with key End-Users and is responsible for the development of sales with national, regional and local End-Users for soft and hard surface EF and Dwelling brands. They are responsible to create and apply an effective sales strategy working with Specialists, District Managers and Regional Managers for their geography. Success in this role will be measured by defined targets for property management owners, management companies, home builders and overall sales growth in the EF and Dwellings brand categories. Sales Growth Strategies through specifications will be developed and implemented in coordination between the National Business Development Manager, Regional Sales Vice President and the SVP of Sales. The ideal candidate is preferred, not required, to reside in the central part of the country and within a 30-40 mile radius of a major airport. This position will travel throughout the country approximately 4-8 days per month dependent on business needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Partner with Specialists and Specifiers to develop and implement go to market strategies.

· Focus on defined corporate targets identifying local, regional and national business opportunities:

  • Top 100 Property Management Owners and Managers such as: FPI, Lincoln, Winn, Avalon Bay, Bozzuto, Camden, and Essex Properties
  • Top 200 Homes Builders such as: Dream Finders, Taylor Morrison, Meritage Homes, Toll Brothers, and AV Homes

· Partner with the specialist, specifier, key Territory Mangers, District Managers and Regional Managers in the specified geography.

· The frequency of travel in the geography is defined by end-use appointments. Meaning travel schedule will be defined by end-user appointments with remaining travel time to be filled with key flooring contractors who drive specifications.

· While traveling, the National Business Development Manager is responsible to communicate customer meeting agendas with Regional Managers to ensure close communication, strategic business strategy and sales growth focus.

· Execute sales agreements and contracts working closely with Corporate Sales Support and Regional Manager to provide consistent communication, business growth strategy and follow-up to gain specifications.

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Five or more years of experience in Builder or Multi-Family sales role.
  • Knowledge of Builder or Multi-Family Industry.
  • Experience with DSS Web Reports, G-Link, Word and Power-Point.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must have effective, professional sales presentation skills for diverse groups.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel overnight in the sales field and to the corporate office extensively (air, auto and rail) on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, stand, sit at a work station, and drive an automobile for extended periods of time.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
