Overview:

The Occupational Health Nurse is responsible for providing promotion and support to company health and wellness efforts, case management with work-related injuries, case management, illnesses and other general health issues. This position will provide services to multiple facilities located in northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama.

Responsibilities:

• Provide core nursing services and support to work-related injuries, illnesses and accidents
• Administer basic health and medical services including vital signs, first aid, injections, lab draws, oral/urine drug screens, etc.
• Participate and assist with pre-placement and/or post-employment health assessments
• Maintain all applicable and appropriate health and medical information in the record keeping system
• Assist with the delivery and implementation of on-site wellness programs, services and events
• Manage, monitor and check equipment, supplies and other nursing/medical related operational systems and services
• Conduct CPR/First Aid/AED and Stop The Bleed training
• Support company-related efforts including workers compensation case management, leave of absence/FML administration, safety and general HR responsibilities
• Perform procedures under the guidance of the Nurse Supervisor

Qualifications:

• Current certification in the State of Georgia and ability to obtain license in multiple states
• CPR Instructor Certified preferred
• Compliance with Clia waived laboratory standards, HIPPA, PHI, DOT and other applicable regulatory and legal guidelines
• Ability to protect and maintain confidentiality and privacy
• Exceptional customer service and patient care
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain effective and organized schedules and systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerChart, SPM and Outlook
• LPN or RN certification preferred
